Trailblazers is delighted to announce that Unicorn Trails are sponsoring this years series with a horse riding holiday. The 2008 Senior Novice Dressage Champion and the 2008 Senior 85cms Show Jumping Champion will each win a short break in France and can bring up to 3 friends at a 20% discount. Trailblazers showing is happening all over the country! Trailblazers has launched a BRAND NEW showing series which will culminate in a Final at Stoneleigh Park on Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27th July, 2008. Every competitor will compete on both days under different top class judges who have judge either at HOYS or RIHS. You will need to be registered with Trailblazers this will cost you nothing, just fill in a registration form at the Centre when you go. 12th October, 2007 IMPORTANT new rule change in dressage, Trailblazers have changed the number of British Dressage points allowed for a horse in Trailblazers Novice and Elementary classes. 'Horses that are currently registered with British Dressage or horses that have been registered within the preceding 12 months will not be allowed to compete at Preliminary level with any BD points, Novice Level with more than 60 points or Elementary level with more than 100 points'. Please note that your points total must be correct whether you are competing in 1st rounds, 2nd Rounds or the Finals, it is up to the competitor to know their own points total. Any competitor can of course compete H/C.

In 2008 the Trailblazers Dressage Championships will take place on Wednesday 30th July and Thursday 31st July, 2008.

There will be a Show Jumping Practice day on Friday 1st August (very popular in 2007) open to both juniors and seniors who have qualified for the Trailblazers Show Jumping Championships. This practice day will offer open classes which will consist of 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1 metre.

The Trailblazers show jumping Championship classes will take place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August, 2008 The practice day (new option in 2007) for competitors who wish to jump warm up classes, but of course you can just come for the Saturday and Sunday if you are a qualified combination and do not want to jump the warm up classes. This gives qualified combinations a wonderful opportunity to compete for 3 days at Stoneleigh park on their fabulous equine arena with one practice day and 2 Championship days and with more time to enjoy the disco in the evening.

Once a Centre has run its Second Round the 1st rounds it runs after that will qualify you for the next series of Trailblazers with the Finals at the beginning of August 2009.

The demand for Trailblazers keeps growing and growing why not go along to a Trailblazers Centre and enter a Trailblazers competition it is easy to do and lots of FUN!!. You do not need to be a member before you go just fill in a registration form when you go to compete. Good Luck and enjoy yourselves!!

Juniors please note; - must not have reached their 17th Birthday by the first day of the National Championships. If you will be 17 before the Championships at Stoneleigh Park you should be competing as a SENIOR for the 1st and Second rounds NOW!!
